GEORGIA GOAL
Approximately $4 million remains in available tax credits for 2013 (see image below). Based on past experience, there is likely one week left (before the expected $58 million cap is met) for our FCS families to initiate the contribution process for designating your state taxes to FCS through Georgia GOAL. We encourage you to make your decision right away.

For the quickest result use the GOAL Paperless Process OR you can scan and email paper forms to goal@goalscholarship.org or fax them to 1-877-478-4625.  Thank you to those who have already made a tax designation and helped FCS's scholarship program through Georgia Goal.

FELLOWSHIP FUND UPDATE

Almost to our goal of 90% PP!

We are so close to reaching our 90% parent participation goal!  A BIG THANK YOU to  ALL the Fellowship families who have donated and are fulfilling their pledge! If you have not yet contributed, we need YOUR help today to reach our goal. Please prayerfully consider making a donation by simply clicking to make an on-line donation. A participation percentage of 90%+ is an important key to FCS being able to confidently approach foundations for grants and other FREE money. ANY size gift counts and for each percentage point increase, an anonymous donor GIVES us $1,000.00. Not only will you be helping your Fellowship family increase our participation percentage but your dollar amount is also multiplied!

LITTLE PALADINS, BIG PRIDE

20 YEARS OF UNPRECEDENTED DEDICATION
Linda Landrum and Cindy Bos
Cindy Bos began volunteering at Fellowship in 1992 when her youngest child was in kindergarten. She worked as librarian Linda Landrum's fulltime assistant for the next three years. Then it was back to volunteering! Cindy knew how and did everything! She checked materials in and out, shelved materials, ordered supplies and new books (teaching Linda how to order on-line!) and her biggest contribution was processing materials, the only volunteer entrusted with that task. The year videos were added to the computer catalog, Cindy processed 350 by herself! One of Cindy's passions was assisting students in finding just the perfect book, especially those who read above grade level. Cindy is leaving FCS, moving to Detroit, MI; her reason is two-fold: 1)Her husband, Kevin, a pilot for Delta, is changing his base of operation and 2) to be near their children and grandchildren. Not many volunteers serve for 20 years in the same position. Cindy will be sorely missed by her FCS family, but we pray God's blessings for her move and life in Michigan.

PERIMETER TRACK MEET PHOTOS, check them out!

FROM THE YEARBOOK STAFF
The Yearbook staff is looking for pictures of the ES at Perimeter Track Meet and ES Baseball. Please send images on CD, DVD, or flash drive to Cindy Hart.

SUMMER BRIDGE
Summer Bridge books ordered through the school will be passed out before the end of the school year. To be eligible for the rewards offered, the books must be completed and turned in the first week of school. In the past, books have been accepted and rewarded which were 2/3 completed; that will not be the case for the 2013-2014 Summer Bridge program.

LIBRARY BOOK FAIR
The Library staff is very appreciative of your support at the recent Book Fair. Over $4,800 in books were sold which amounts to nearly $1,700 in profit for our school library. The money will be used for an author's visit next year as well as other items the library needs throughout the year. Thank you again and again.

Blake Scott, in Mrs. Willard's 5th grade class, won the guessing contest. His prize was a free book and a jar of candy. The runners up were Caleb McClung in Mrs. Harrison's 4th grade class and Zion Pleasant in Mrs. Moser's 5th grade class.

LIBRARY BOOK CLUB
It's not too late to be a part of the Library Book Club! There are many wonderful books waiting to be part of our permanent collection. You can leave a lasting legacy for many current and future students by buying a book and giving it to the library in honor of a birthday, or to celebrate a new pet, a new baby or, perhaps, zero trips to the school nurse this year. You know your child has asked you to participate, so what are you waiting for? Contact Linda Landrum, 770.641.5587 or linda.landrum@fcspaladins.org.

SAVE THE DATE!
