OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOX COLLECTION
Monday, December 2 begins the FCS annual OCC shoebox collection, ending on Friday, December 6. This is the week we return from Thanksgiving break, so don't forget to bring in your shoe box. You can donate $7 for each shoebox you prepare to help cover shipping and other project costs. Make your check out to Samaritan's Purse (note "OCC" on memo line) and place it in an envelope on top of the gift items inside your box. You may also give your $7 donation through the OCC website at Online Giving and Tracking.

Track your Operation Christmas Child box to its location. This can be done by donating online and printing off the special shoebox label included in your email receipt. Please Note: The unique barcode on the label is scanned during the shipment process. Covering it with tape or damaging it could affect scanning. Visit  Online Giving and Tracking for more details.

Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.

Please join us as we make a difference in the lives of children around the world!  Operation Christmas Child brochures were distributed to the ES today, Friday, November 8. MS/HS brochures will be distributed in Bible classes next week! The brochures provide packing details and boy/girl labels. Pack as many shoeboxes as you like. Ask family, neighbors and friends to join in the fun and pack some boxes, too! According to Carol Smith, OCC Atlanta Area Coordinator, Fellowship is the largest contributing school in the Atlanta area.

Shoebox Blessings:
1. Spreading the Gospel – lives changed for eternity
2. Giving a gift of love to the least of these
3. Family time shopping and packing the boxes

I AM SECOND 2 STOP HUNGER NOW
Our Stop Hunger Now Meal Packaging Event has come to a conclusion...the donations have been counted, meals have been packaged and the Ice Cream Sundae Parties have been hosted.
The Senior students and high school GO Program thanks all of the Fellowship families for their God-honoring generosity and their incredible support for the Stop Hunger Now Meal Packaging Event. Our fundraising efforts exceeded by more than double the original goal of $12,500.
Total raised was $31,242.00 ($15,000 was needed for the meals). 60,000 meals were packaged and are now ready to ship to eagerly awaiting children in third world countries. $16,242 was donated to be allocated towards a special project currently under works with Stop Hunger Now.
Praise God and thank you for sharing. “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations for ever and ever." (Ephesians 3:20-21 See pictures and read all about it on the FCS website.

DID YOU KNOW parent volunteers are calling FCS families throughout the month of November to answer questions about the 2013-2014 Fellowship Fund and reaching our goal of over 90% parent participation? If you have already pledged or made a contribution – Thank you! If you have not yet done so, please show your support for our school and its mission by turning in your pledge form or donating online today. God is clearly showing His favor on Fellowship Christian School, and donating to our annual Fellowship Fund is one of many ways you can support the great work He is doing here.

Did you know Fellowship donors will be recognized this year for leadership giving? Read more about the list of leadership giving levels and the associated recognition for each level on the FCS website. ALL gifts are greatly appreciated; no gift is too large or too small.

JOIN THE MUSIC CREW
The Music Crew is needed because we share our elementary classrooms with Fellowship Bible Church. Their Sunday school rooms are our elementary classrooms. This shared space is a great blessing to our school and our relationship with FBC is one we hold dear.

As thanks for the long hours she devotes to our music program, we are eager to arrange the help Miss Baxley needs and deserves with her weekly classroom move. For this purpose  we would like to announce Miss Baxley's Music Crew. The Music Crew is open to volunteers from our 4th and 5th grade classes, as well as any interested parents.

Miss Baxley's room is particularly needed on Sundays by the church, so she packs up her entire music class on Friday afternoons..her desk, instruments  music stands, file cabinets...to move it all to storage in the library. Every Monday, she moves it back to her classroom and unpacks it all again. It's a lot of work for one person, but many make light work!  We would like to have at least one parent volunteer every Friday afternoon to help manage the student volunteers. Read more and sign up here at Miss Baxley's Music Crew.

Thank you for joining us in blessing Miss Baxley and the church. What a perfect way to help our students demonstrate "I Am Second."

GOT PHOTOS?
The yearbook staff is looking for photos of ES events and class special activities. If you have digital photos to share please supply them on a CD, DVD or flash drive to your child's teacher or drop it off at the ES office. Mark your flash drive with your name so it can be returned. Questions? Contact Loren Hagearty, Lhagearty@gmail.com.
