OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOX COLLECTION
Monday, December 2 begins the FCS annual OCC shoebox collection, ending on Friday, December 6. This is the week we return from Thanksgiving break, so don't forget to bring in your shoe box. You can donate $7 for each shoebox you prepare to help cover shipping and other project costs. Make your check out to Samaritan's Purse (note "OCC" on memo line) and place it in an envelope on top of the gift items inside your box. You may also give your $7 donation through the OCC website at Online Giving and Tracking.

Track your Operation Christmas Child box to its location. This can be done by donating online and printing off the special shoebox label included in your email receipt. Please Note: The unique barcode on the label is scanned during the shipment process. Covering it with tape or damaging it could affect scanning. Visit  Online Giving and Tracking for more details.

Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.

Please join us as we make a difference in the lives of children around the world!  Operation Christmas Child brochures were distributed to the ES last Friday. MS/HS brochures were distributed in Bible classes this week! The brochures provide packing details and boy/girl labels. Pack as many shoeboxes as you like. Ask family, neighbors and friends to join in the fun and pack some boxes, too! According to Carol Smith, OCC Atlanta Area Coordinator, Fellowship is the largest contributing school in the Atlanta area.

Shoebox Blessings:
1. Spreading the Gospel – lives changed for eternity
2. Giving a gift of love to the least of these
3. Family time shopping and packing the boxes

DID YOU KNOW parent volunteers are calling FCS families throughout the month of November to answer questions about the 2013-2014 Fellowship Fund and reaching our goal of over 90% parent participation? Look for a pledge form and more details in the Fellowship Magazine which was mailed last week. Please show your support for our school and its mission by turning in your pledge form or donating online today. God is clearly showing His favor on Fellowship Christian School, and donating to our annual Fellowship Fund is one of many ways you can support the great work He is doing here.

Did you know the first grade in each division (Elementary, Middle and High) to achieve 100% parent participation in the this year's Fellowship Fund will receive dress down passes and will have their grade's photo featured in a future Fellowship publication?

Did you know Fellowship donors will be recognized this year for leadership giving? Leadership giving levels and the associated recognition for each level can be found on the FCS website. ALL gifts are greatly appreciated; no gift is too large or too small.

FROM ADMISSIONS
Applications are now being accepted for the 2014-2015 school year. Sibling applicants will be given priority during the month of November. Questions? Contact Shelly Martin, 770-641-6816 or shelly.martin@fcspaladins.org.

DINNER WITH ZOE -  SPIRIT NIGHT

Zoe’s Kitchen will be donating 15% of all sales during our Spirit Night, and students who mention Fellowship will receive a free cookie! Zoe’s Kitchen is located on Highway 92 in the Roswell Super Target shopping center.

FROM THE LIBRARY
Thursday, November 21, Dave Gustaveson, from YWAM (Youth With a Mission) ministries, will be with us following our Thanksgiving Praise and Worship Chapel. He is the author of The Reel Kids Adventure series and will be provide an inspiring writing workshop for our students.

Please note, Mr. Gustaveson is bringing some of his books to sell, but also note we are aware of the tricky timing of this opportunity. Last month, author Sigmund Brouwer  spoke in chapel and had his books for sale. This week, we've enjoyed having our annual Book Fair. So, please know we recognize the challenges to pocketbooks by inadvertently scheduling events so closely together. We appreciate all the support you've already given.
