GOODIES ON THE GREEN LADIES' BREAKFAST
Monday, April 22, 8:30-10:30 am, Atlanta National Golf Club, 350 Tournament Players Drive, Milton, GA. To coincide with this year's golf tournament there will be a mid-morning ladies' breakfast featuring a devotion by Laurie Bengochea. VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION BREAKFAST
Thursday, April 25, 8:15-9:15 am, HS Gym 1. We are flippin' over our parent volunteers!  If you have volunteered at FCS this year, the principals will be flippin' pancakes for your breakfast to say THANK YOU! Our children's education is enhanced by the help of parent volunteers. Partnership is what we are about! This appreciation breakfast is one way we say "Thanks" to our volunteers for all you do.

Fellowship Magazine is looking for FCS Alumni News. Where are they now and what have they done since graduating from FCS? College graduation, degrees earned, changes in residence, job status or movement, promotions, awards, marriages, births, reunions or classmate get-togethers are all news worth noting. PURE HOPE PARENTING BOOK
We had a guest speaker from Pure Hope for chapel a few weeks ago and we have some of their parenting books available.  There is a limited amount, so please contact Annette Jacobs, annette.jacobs@fcspaladins.org, if you would like a copy.

GEORGIA GOAL
As a GOAL Participating School, FCS is eligible to promote the GOAL program to donors for designating their contributions to GOAL for use to provide scholarships at our school. This enables us to increase the amount of financial aid for which FCS students and families are eligible. This can help to increase enrollment, tuition income and opportunities for deserving students and their families. Please check the information on the FCS website to designate your state taxes to Georgia Goal and FCS. It may soon be possible for S Corporations, LLCs and Partnerships to contribute up to $10,000 to Georgia Goal. Information about this new opportunity to support FCS will be posted soon.

FELLOWSHIP FUND UPDATE

Below is a recap of our parent participation by class and grade. Highlighted classes reached 100% this week. Congratulations Mrs. Wideman's 3rd grade class and Mrs. Harrison's 4th grade class. Thank you to every family represented in these classes.


Thank you, Fellowship families! Our 2012-2013 Fellowship Fund runs through June 30. Having surpassed 80% parent participation, an anonymous donor is donating $1,000 for every additional percentage point above 80%! Your gift is important! If you have already contributed - Thank you!! FC$ FINANCIAL POLICY
Our financial policy requires all outstanding tuition, fees and any other monies owed to FCS to be paid in full before a student’s transcript/records/report card can be released at the end of the school yearA hold will also be placed on RenWeb access until any outstanding balance is paid. This includes book fees, athletic participation fees, after school care tuition and any other school fee. Please contact the appropriate department if you are unsure if you have an outstanding balance for any of these items.

Dive Into Reading at the Book Fair!

Parents may preview the Book Fair beginning Monday afternoon, April 28.  Students and parents are welcome to shop anytime. (Books will not be checked out during the Book Fair.)

FROM THE LIBRARY
Wednesday, May 8th ALL library books are due. Please return any book which has been checked out,  pay any outstanding fines and for any lost books. Mrs. Landrum will reward the first class to do so with an extra recess.

EARN A SKY ZONE PARTY FOR YOUR WHOLE CLASS
It's easy! Just purchase the Summer Bridge workbook for $14.95 by April 25 and your class could earn the party! The class with the highest percentage of books purchased per class size earns the party! The order forms are on thNews & Resources page of the FCS website and in this week's Friday FoldersThese workbooks, recommended by Mrs. Teston and teachers, are optional. 

The students who COMPLETE their book assignments over the summer will receive special recognition with a week of dress down passes with NO expiration date, raffle prizes and an ice cream party. Raffle prizes include:
  • Brunswick bowing for 6 people
  • Menchies gift card
  • Sparkles skate rink party
  • Aurora move or Putt-putt for 4
  • Family Pizza 
  • And more!
Please note, rising Kindergarteners also have an option to complete activity calendars approved by Mrs. Kinsey; see her before ordering. Rising 6th graders have different assignments that will be posted on the FCS website. This program is a PTF fundraiser and the books will be delivered before the end of the year. Completed forms and a check made out to FCS should be turned in to your classroom teacher or the ES office by April 25.


SCHOOLKIDZ READY FOR ORDERS
Today, Friday, April 19 the Schoolkidz website is open and ready for your orders! The Parent Letter with specific ordering instructions can be found on the FCS web siteUse the FCS account number 84316 to order. This, too, is an optional program but one that saves time and makes back to school shopping easy. Order early and forget about supplies until the "Meet and Greet" in August.

SPIRIT ITEMS AVAILABLE!
PTF is still offering three fun FCS Spirit items for you to purchase: 16 oz. tumbler, 30 oz. water bottle or a 62" vented golf umbrella. Order forms are available on the FCS website. Completed forms and checks made to FCS should be returned to the school office.

PICTURES NEEDED
Monday, May 6 is the final deadline to submit images to be considered for the Yearbook. The Yearbook staff is looking for images of Lacrosse, Baseball, Soccer and FCS at the Perimeter Track Meet. Submit your images to Cindy Hart, cindy.hart@fcspaladins.org, on a CD, DVD or flash drive. Labels on flash drives enable them to be returned.

TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY
Wednesday, April 24. PTF will express gratitude to our teachers for their dedication and commitment by providing a catered luncheon. Please ask your students to share a word or note of thanks to those who have made a difference in their lives.


8th GRADE CELEBRATION
Friday, May 3 is the deadline to submit two 5x7" framed pictures of your 8th grade student. One should be a baby picture and the other a more recent picture. There is a box in the HS office for collection. Questions? Contact Laura Hopkins at ltuga88@msn.com.

Monday, May 1 is the final deadline to submit images to be considered for the Yearbook. The Yearbook staff needs images of Baseball, Tennis,Track & Field, and Washington, DC. VARIETY SHOW
Saturday, May 4, 7:00 pm, Gym 1. Mark your calendars and plan on being with us to celebrate our students talents! It's a show you don't want to miss!!

PALADIN FIELD
Parents, please help us by picking up your trash (and your children's trash) following athletic events on Paladin Field. This is our house, let's all pitch in to keep it clean. Thank you.

SPRING CLEANING  HELPS THE ART DEPT.
The MS Art Department is looking for wood scraps. Small pieces of molding, dowels, blocks...anything with which we can be creative through sculpture. Please send it in marked "Tracy Purdy" or bring directly to the art room. Thanks very much!

Last minute prom details:
  • Today, Friday, April 19 is the last day to buy tickets. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
  • Parents are invited to attend the Picture Party at the venue 5:30 - 6:45 pm.
  • Studio 7 will be offering a pre-paid photo package for two 5x7's at a great price. The photo forms will be given to students with their tickets. Forms will also be available at the venue.

Tuesday, April 23 there will be an adjusted bell schedule for our Academic and Character Awards Assembly. The schedule for this day is posted on RenWeb. Parents of students receiving recognition have been sent an email about this.

Wednesday, April 24 pizza orders for the month of May are due. Order forms are available in the office and on the website.

GO OPPORTUNITIES
Students wishing to serve and receive additional GO hours this year have the following opportunities:

Ice Cream Social, Sunday, April 28, 3:00-4:30 pm, Gym 1: Students are needed to assist with this event for the new students and families coming to FCS next year. 

Roswell Day of Hope, Saturday, May 4: Opportunities to serve at this community-wide event sponsored by a network of local churches may be found at www.hoperoswell.org

Dodgeball Tournament, Saturday, May 11: FCS is hosting this annual tournament to raise money for the End It Movement, to bring an end to slavery. Team request forms are in the office.

AP EXAM SCHEDULE
Students taking AP exams need only be at school for their exam; they are excused from school the remainder of the day. All exams will be administered in Room LL53 in the ES building. The AP Exam schedule is on the FCS website and below:

May 8 - AP Calculus AB/BC, 8:00 am

A NOTE TO PARENTS OF OUR SENIORS
In order for seniors to receive diplomas, have final grades released, as well as have a final transcript sent to their attending college, ALL outstanding accounts must be cleared. (Please refer to FCS Financial Policy in All School News above.) This includes handing in final senior forms: List of Colleges & Scholarships and the Final Transcript Request form. These two forms will be passed out to seniors in Bible class on Monday, April 22 and are due back to the office no later than Friday, May 10.
