THANKSGIVING BREAK - NO SCHOOL

FOURTH GRADE CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL GAME

Saturday, November 17, 2:30 pm, Alpharetta North Park Field, 13450 Cogburn Road, near St. Francis High School campus. Our Little Paladins team is playing #1 seed Alpharetta Gold Eagles. Bring your family and friends to support our LITTLE PALADINS with BIG PALADIN PRIDE!

FCS' production of Irving Berlin's White Christmas
Tickets: $10 at the door

DINNER AND A PLAY

The Senior Class will be providing dinner during the December 1, 6:30 pm production of White Christmas. Dinner will include an Italian entree, salad, vegetable, bread, and dessert. The money raised goes towards the senior trip. Seating for the "Dinner and a Play" option is $20 including the ticket for the musical. Dinner will be served family style with seating arranged at tables of 8 surrounding the general seating for the musical in the High School Gym. Purchase tickets for "Dinner and a Play" in the High School office. NOTE: Regular seating for the musical on this date is available without the meal option.

FELLOWSHIP FUND UPDATE

To date 40% of our parents have pledged or given to the Fellowship Fund. We are well on our way to our "A Day for Fellowship" goal of 100% parent participation by December 5! At this time, we have collected $200,000. Thank you, Fellowship Family! Your generosity helps our school to be the best it can be! 

A DAY FOR FELLOWSHIP

Wednesday, December 5 is 'A Day For Fellowship,' the day by which we hope to have 100% parent participation in the Fellowship Fund. Reaching our goal well before the end of the school year helps us fulfill the purposes of the Fellowship Funds.  A team of parent volunteers are reaching out to answer questions and to encourage each of our parents to participate by December 5th.

FELLOWSHIP MAGAZINE

There was a glitch in the mailing list used for mailing our Fellowship magazine. The names were jumbled but the addresses are correct. So, if you received a white envelope at your address with another name, don't fear, it was meant for you. Please open it and enjoy the fall issue of Fellowship, the Magazine. If you have more than one copy, pass it on to someone else to read or bring the extra one you have back to school. Magazines were mailed to grandparents, too, so please let them know.

PALADIN CENTER RELOCATED
We are excited to announce the relocation of the FCS Paladin Center to 735 West Crossville Road, adjacent to Pike's Nursery in the Trader Joe's Shopping Center. The new center will continue to be home for CrossFit Fellowship, Wrestling, Cheer Programs, Fencing, Robotics, Speed and Agility classes and the FCS Spirit Store. JDRF WALK TO CURE - BLESSINGS ABOUND!

Through the hard work of our JDRF Student GO Team, Dr. Burris was able to present the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) with a check for $19,303.72. Thanks to FCS teachers, students and families for your incredible support of this year's JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes. Thanks to the students who dedicated many hours to plan this event.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD (OCC) 

Monday, November 26 begins the FCS annual OCC shoebox collection, ending on Friday, November 30. This is the week we return from Thanksgiving break, so don't forget to bring in your shoe box. You can donate $7 for each shoebox you prepare to help cover shipping and other project costs. Make your check out to Samaritan's Purse (note "OCC" on memo line) and place it in an envelope on top of the gift items inside your box. You may also give your $7 donation through the OCC website at Online Giving and Tracking.

Track your Operation Christmas Child box to its location. This can be done by donating online and printing off the special shoebox label included in your email receipt. Please Note: The unique barcode on the label is scanned during the shipment process. Covering it with tape or damaging it could affect scanning. Visit Online Giving and Tracking for more details.

Don't forget to use your FCS Publix Swipe cards for all your Thanksgiving grocery shopping. Get extra swipe cards at the Elementary school front office to hand out to your family and friends. FCS gets a percentage of the sales.

Hunters Christmas Tree Farm - Choose and cut your Christmas Tree this year and support our PTF. The Hunters are offering a donation to our school if you purchase a tree at their farm. For directions and information call 770.475.0713 or go to www.hunterschristmastreefarm.com.
Pike Nurseries - Purchase your Christmas tree, poinsettias or any Christmas decor at Pike's and help make our school beautiful. A percentage of your purchase is credited to our FCS account for future school landscaping projects.

JR. BETA CLUB INDUCTION CEREMONY

Thursday, December 6, 6:00 pm, Elementary School, Room 169.  Students in grades 5 through 8 will be inducted into the Jr. Beta Club. Boys are to wear a coat/suit and tie; girls are to wear a dress or skirt and blouse.  

ELEMENTARY WRESTLING

Anyone ES boys interested in elementary wrestling please contact Coach Lindner in the athletic office, bryan.lindner@fcspaladins.org. Kids and parents are encouraged to come out and watch practice. No experience necessary. We hope to build Godly young men and grow FCS wrestling.

TREAD

MS MORNING DROP OFF
Please be considerate of others and pull further up toward the stop sign when dropping off your children in the morning. Those further back are not able to drop their children off at the sidewalk if those in front of them don't pull up. Thank you!

YEARBOOK REQUEST
The Yearbook Staff is looking for digital images of Chapels, Praise Team, Fencing, Robotics, etc. Please submit your favorite 10 or 20 clear images on a flash drive, CD or DVD. Flash drives will be returned if they are labeled. Contact cindy.hart@fcspaladins.org for more information.

8th GRADE DC TRIP

The cost of the DC trip has been divided into following payments:

$310 due November 30

$310 due March 8 (final balance) 

Please make your checks out to Fellowship Christian School and give to Mr. Fickley or leave in the main office. Amounts are same for students and parent chaperones.

8th GRADE MOTHER/DAUGHTER BIBLE STUDY

Beginning Friday, December 7, 7:00 pm, in the Dragt home. Please join us for a  mother/daughter "Read the Red" Bible study led by Angie Dragt, mother of Este (8th), Josh (6th) and Anna (5th). The first meeting will be Friday, December 7. We will continue to meet every first Friday of the month. Angie has a masters degree in theology from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Ft. Tuesday, November 20 vs Blessed Trinity in our first home basketball game. Come cheer on our Paladins.Times are as follows:

HANGING OF THE GREEN

GO hours and Beta Club hours may be earned by helping with the Hanging of the Green on November 28 in the afternoon. Students may sign up with Mrs. McGee or Mrs. Corbett.

GO CHRISTMAS PARTY

Saturday, December 1, at FCS, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. The GO program in conjunction with the Spanish Honor Society, will be sponsoring a Christmas luncheon for Hispanic children in our community. Interested students should sign up with Mrs. Daniel.

LOST AND FOUND

Just a reminder: our Lost and Found will be cleared out and donated to charity at the end of this month. Please check there for any missing items.

JDRF GO HOURS

Students who earned GO hours through the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes should log their information into their "my giving point" account, using Mrs. Ronda Davenport's email address for confirmation: chuckandronda@bellsouth.net. Each sponsor donating $10 or more equates to one GO hour.

HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING
The HS Wrestling team is looking for students (girls and boys) interested in serving as a wrestling team manager. Responsibilities include traveling to matches with the team, keeping score books (training provided), maintaining/tracking equipment and more. We need 2-4 volunteers. Sign up with Coach Ryan Zimmerman or Coach Bryan Lindner.

BARNBURNER
SGA is seeking a new home for our annual BarnBurner held in March. Contact Bryan Lindner, bryan.lindner@fcspaladins.org if you are willing to host this fun event for our FCS high schoolers.
